So many have been away or sick recently. Today is a catch up day; do a WOD you may have missed or work on a weakness.




Strong Women
Here is a bit of a rant about women's approach to fitness. So many women start a program "to lose a little weight & tone up" and don't want to do weights because they don't want to "bulk up".


Firstly a quote from the words of the great Mark Rippetoe (barbell coach), for men and women; "there is no such thing as toning, there is just stonger or weaker".


For the women, watch this video & find me a "bulked up" woman. Look at the weight categories. These women are strong and good looking.
You too can be both. You may get some muscle definition & a little more pronounced muscle but your hormones won't let you "bulk up", unless of course you take some male ones.
I might add that these women are really flexible too.


Get strong and good looking - do the weights.
